5 Ways to Experience God's Presence Beyond Church

Let's face it, life gets hectic. As women juggling careers, families, and everything in between, it can be tough to make Sunday service a priority every single week. But that doesn't mean your connection with God has to suffer! Here are five simple (and fulfilling) ways to nourish your faith outside of traditional church settings:

  1. Nature Walks: Lace up your sneakers and head outdoors! The beauty of God's creation surrounds us – a vibrant sunset, the rustling of leaves, even the birdsong in your backyard. A mindful walk is a wonderful way to connect with the divine.

  2. Prayers: You don't need fancy words or to be on your knees. Talk to God throughout your day – a quick thank you while driving, a whispered prayer of strength mid-meeting, or a few genuine words before bedtime.

  3. Reading Scripture: Open your Bible (or Bible app!). Allow even a few verses to sink into your heart. Consider focusing on a specific theme like hope, peace, or forgiveness.

  4. Fellowship: Community strengthens our faith. Join a small group, Bible study (online ones are great for busy schedules!), or find a few like-minded friends to share your spiritual journey with.

  5. Journaling: Sometimes, putting pen to paper is the best way to process our thoughts and deepen our connection with God. Journal your prayers, gratitude, questions, or simply reflections on your day.

Remember, building a relationship with God looks unique to everyone. These are starting points! Which one calls to your heart? Experiment and find the practices that resonate most with you.
